SEND Approach to Learning

The academic potential of a young individual can be significantly influenced by the presence of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These needs have the potential to impact various aspects of their education, behavior, and social skills. Examples of such impacts include challenges in forming positive relationships, struggling to achieve academic success due to deficits in comprehension or cognitive ability, experiencing low levels of concentration or encountering unengaging teaching methods, facing limitations due to physical disabilities, encountering content or presentation that is not tailored to their needs, and dealing with teachers or instructors who progress with the curriculum before ensuring that every student has a solid understanding of the topic at hand.

If there is a possibility that your child may require special educational assistance, it is recommended that you reach out to the SEND coordinator, also known as the SENCO, at your child's educational institution, be it a school or nursery.
